Not a bird book my friends…falcons are gold coins, and Aiden is on the hunt to find 20 that are missing…

The Potato Chip Puzzles by Eric Berlin

This reminds me of one of the books in the series by Blue Balliet on the list a few years ago, The Wright Three. Sovling a mystery while soving puzzles within the text is an interesting twist.

Secret of Zoom by Lynne Jonell

Ok, I am hooked by the humor already…”Trespassers will be boiled”…made me laugh outloud! I’m not a big fan of fantasy books, but if it is humorous too, I’m in!

Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret

I LOVE a good Kehret suspense…Kehret has had several books on the Mark Twain list in years past, my favorite being Abduction. Hope this one is as good!

Love, Aubrey by Suzanne LaFleur

Eleven year old Aubrey is living on her own and chooses to eat spagettios all the time…I love it…a kid after my own heart! Reminds me of one of my children who would love that menu :)

Million-Dollar Throw by Mike Lupica

Nate, the ultimate football fan, wins a chance to throw at pass at a Patriots game…the money could really come in handy…of course who wouldn’t want a million?

11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass

Every year Leo and Amanda, born on the same day, have celebrated their birthday together…until the fight, and now Amanda isn’t sure she wants to celebrate at all. She just wants the day to be over…but…the day keeps happening over and over…

Brilliant Fall of Gianna Z. by Kate Messner

Gianna has procrastinated on an important science project and now if she doesn’t bring up her grade she will lose her spot on the track team to a girl she can’t stand…will she make it???

Faith, Hope, and Ivy June by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

This is an interesting idea. You all have probably heard about student exchange programs for students from other countries, but this is a student exchange program for 7th grade students between schools in Kentucky. Imagine switching with a student from St. Louis or Jefferson City…

Heart of a Shepherd by Rosanne Parry

Brother, the youngest in his family, has never really been into the family ranching business, but when his father is shipped off to Iraq, he must take over…

Abnornally shy Newt Newman dons a makeshift superhero costume and suddenly feels more confident. Then opportunities to save the day keep popping up…

Storm Chaser by Chris Platt

Go Big or Go Home

I met Will Hobbs when he was writing this book, so I read it as soon as it came out. Many of the things that happen in this book were based on things he and his friends did as kids. I really enjoyed the book!

The Leanin’ Dog

My resident dog expert says this is a fantastic book…can’t wait to read it, but I hope it doesn’t make my cry…dog books usually do!
