This reminds me of one of the books in the series by Blue Balliet on the list a few years ago, The Wright Three. Sovling a mystery while soving puzzles within the text is an interesting twist.

I met Will Hobbs when he was writing this book, so I read it as soon as it came out. Many of the things that happen in this book were based on things he and his friends did as kids. I really enjoyed the book!
